You can and should expect the best! We will review your inquiry and contact you via the information provided. We will discuss your project in detail with you and also provide you with a free quote! Once completed, our FAA certified remote pilot will arrive on the day of service and begin the pre-flight checklist. This includes an aircraft safety inspection and inspecting the planned flight path for any obstacles such as low hanging wires, tree branches, etc. After a quick safety briefing for those remaining on-site, the pre-flight checklist is complete and it's time for take off! If you are on-site you will be able to fly along with us and observe the entire flight in HD!
Since our UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicle) weigh more than .55lbs (250 grams) and are flown commercially, our UAVs are registered with the FAA.. just like a Boeing 777! This also means that our UAVs have a registered and displayed tail number, use the required radio frequency identification (RFID), and due to that are classified and protected as an aircraft by the FAA. Even though our aircrafts weigh less than 5lbs and we pilot them remotely, we still must follow all of the same FAA, State, and Local laws that the 600,000lbs passenger aircraft do for the duration of each and every flight.
Many reasons...
1. We are FAA certified remote pilots and fly via the part 107 rules and regulations. This means that our skilled pilots can fly for all of your private AND commercial needs!
As of December 2020, the FAA requires all UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicle) that are flown for any business use to be piloted by a licensed (part 107) remote pilot. This includes any aerial imagery taken by any UAV that is published for any business purpose. Part of this certification process includes passing the FAA remote pilot UAV exam and a federal background check. Re-certification training must also be completed biennially. Stay safe and stay legal by flying with us!
2. We're proud to be a locally owned family business. UAVs are now available for a wide variety of reasons and industries to include agriculture, construction, real estate, event planning, delivery services, and so much more. It seems every day someone thinks of a new way to utilize this technology. We have an opportunity as a community to grow this service together and safely right here at home vs waiting years for a foreign business to eventually move in. We look forward to continued growth together and perhaps one day be able to bring many new and exciting jobs to the area!
3. We can stay in the air longer than most with over 2 hours of continuous flight time, only landing as needed to quickly change the flight battery. We can also fly numerous miles further than most, however, this is only limited by our lawful FAA requirement for our remote pilot in command to maintain visual line of sight (VLOS) on the aircraft during flight, without the use of any visual aides (ex. binoculars). This distance can be increased via the addition of forward flight crew visual observer(s) that has direct communication with our remote pilot in command (ex. walkie talkie).
4. We fly the latest cutting edge technology! We do, we promise. Yes, flying the best equipment is costly, however, we paid those bills so the only thing you have to do to get airborne with the latest technology is to contact us!
5. We genuinely love what we do! They say you'll never work a day in your life as long as you love what you do. If you see us out flying, feel free to say hi!
Yes! Our UAVs adhere to all FAA safety requirements for night operations to include using anti-collision bright strobe lights that can be seen for well beyond the 3 statute miles FAA minimum requirement. In order to safely fly at night, our FAA certified remote pilot will need to visit the planned flight location during the day prior to service in order observe the flight path for any obstacles, wires, branches, etc., as part of our pre-flight checklist.
It depends. Our UAVs can fly safely in wind gusts up to 27MPH and still hold a steady camera. However, if there is a high wind rating or a rainstorm then we will remain grounded. If bad weathers threatens while we are already airborne our remote pilot in command will return the aircraft for an emergency landing. All scheduled flights that are either delayed or cancelled by bad weather will be re-scheduled that day with you at no additional cost. We'll do everything we can to fly to include waiting it out, however, sometimes mother nature is going to just say no to our plans.
Yes, we can fly indoors as long the the building owner provides us explicit written permission and all individuals that will be in the building during the flight attend a pre-flight safety briefing.
We can try! As pet owners ourselves, we understand how much love and joy our pets bring to our lives and we're happy to assist as long as the airspace is available to fly and not restricted (i.e. you do not live right next to an airport) and we can maintain visual line of sight (VLOS). We are currently looking at expanding our payloads to include thermal imagery to be able to much better assist with a search like this and also offer many more additional thermal services in the near future.
No. It is currently unlawful to use electronic devices for hunting purposes, including during the game recovery process within the state of Pennsylvania. Aside from being classified as aircraft by the FAA, UAVs are also considered to be electronic devices.
